Vortex IQ and Dotdigital

The Vortex IQ–Dotdigital integration provides a secure, AI-assisted interface for managing email campaigns, contacts, data fields, and performance reporting within Dotdigital. Through Vortex IQ’s Ask Viq conversational workspace, users can carry out common marketing operations using natural language, while all actions are executed directly through Dotdigital’s APIs. This allows marketers to create campaigns, update contact data, retrieve campaign lists, and access analytics without leaving their operational environment, improving efficiency and visibility across day-to-day marketing tasks.

The integration works by connecting a customer’s Dotdigital account via encrypted API credentials. Once connected, Vortex IQ can retrieve contact records, campaign metadata, and performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, and can also perform controlled write actions including creating campaigns, updating contact data fields, and sending campaigns to selected contacts. All actions are user-initiated, respect Dotdigital’s consent and permission framework, and are executed against the customer’s assigned regional API endpoint with built-in error handling and rate-limit backoff.

Typical use cases include listing and managing draft or active campaigns, creating and sending new email campaigns, updating individual contact attributes, reviewing campaign performance, comparing multiple campaigns, and generating daily or weekly reports. Marketers can also identify underperforming campaigns, analyse trends, and make informed adjustments based on real-time data. The integration is designed to support efficient campaign operations, improved reporting, and streamlined contact management while maintaining data security, governance, and full customer control.
